F.A.C.E. Institute — Dr. Bishop attended this prestigious institution, considered by orthodontists as the most difficult continuum in orthodontics. Extensive training in complicated orthodontic problems needing a multi-disciplinary approach, orthognathic surgery, TMJ therapy, sophisticated diagnostics and occlusion are taught in this three-year course. Orthodontists from all over the world attend this course and after graduation, are considered some of the top orthodontists in the country.
Lecturer — Dr. Bishop is an innovator in early childhood growth and development and has lectured on this subject to many groups across the United States and internationally.
Orthognathic Surgery — Dr. Bishop was the orthodontist on the prestigious cranio-facial team at John Peter Smith Hospital, a teaching hospital at Southwestern Medical School. He still works with the oral surgeon from that team, Dr. Larry Wolford, one of the most renowned surgeons in the world. Dr. Wolford and Dr. Bishop very possibly have treated more orthodontic/orthognathic surgery patients than any other team in the world!
Innovator — Dr. Bishop was on the design and development team for the Damon appliance and Invisalign, two of the most progressive and popular orthodontic techniques presently used by orthodontists.
Occlusion — Dr. Bishop has participated in occlusion and TMJ courses taught by some of the most respected practitioners in the United States. Some of the teachers are: Pete Dawson, Niles Guichet, Farrar and McCarty, Frank Spear, Ron Auvenshine, Robert Rickets, Clayton Chan, David Hildebrand, and Ron Roth.
